Small playful table lamp, which is at the same time very elegant. This is the genius of Willem Hendrik Gispen, founder of the Gispen company around 1915. This lamp is one of his creations, which was introduced in the 1930s. It was then reintroduced in the 1960s, as part of the now famous GISO line. This purple lamp is one of these reissues. What makes this lamp special is that the top slides up and down on the vertical metal arm. Hence the name of this lamp: Schuivertje, which translates as Slider, or small Slider. The purple metal parts conceal a thick white frosted glass cylinder that creates comfortable lighting when lit. You can vary the distance between the two metal tips to let less or more light through. The lamp is in excellent condition, with some traces of regular use. It has a diameter of 11 centimeters (4.3"), the height can vary from about 15 to 25 centimeters (6 and 10"). It uses an ordinary E14 bulb, 40W max.
