Antique french oak pedestal for a statue or candlestick, early 1800s possibly late 1700s

Antique french solid oak pedestal from a church used for a statue or candlestick. The top can be removed with an open space underneath. It has been restored over the centuries and can be seen at the bottom where the old decorative frame has been left in place. It has old woodworm holes but has been treated to be sure. In a used but solid condition.
