Louis XV armchairs in convertibles 1750 to reupholster

Pair of convertible armchairs circa 1750. Beautiful and elegant pair of louis XV walnut convertibles of the eighteenth century. Our armchairs rest on four whipped and arched legs whose termination in the form of a winding. The consoles of armrests generously opened "in whiplash", which are linked to the side cross-members creating a game of curves and counter-curves. A decoration of flowers on the backrest, the falls and the traverse completes the architecture. We find in these seats all the elegance and balance in terms of the depth of the sculpture, the diversity of the ornamentation and the "whiplash" line present on the armrest console.
