Round extendable dining table by Baumann in teak – 1960s • Baumann • Design period: 1960 - 1969 • Style: Vintage, Scandinavian • Materials: Solid teak and teak veneer • Colour: Light golden brown / Honey teak • Condition: Good vintage condition (slight signs of use consistent with age, sound and stable structure) • Country of origin: France Stunning modernist round dining table from the Baumann house, an icon of 1960s Scandinavian-inspired French furniture. It stands out with its slender four-legged central base made of solid teak, ensuring great elegance and minimal floor space. When opened, the base separates into two for perfect stability. With rare modularity, it features two extensions to quickly transform from an intimate table to a large banquet: • An integrated butterfly extension under the top (quick deployment). • An additional independent extension. The top showcases a beautiful grain with warm reflections. The slides and mechanisms work perfectly. Dimensions: • Diameter (closed): 115 cm • Height: 75 cm • With the butterfly extension: 160 × 115 cm (6 to 8 people) • With the separate extension: 170 × 115 cm (8 people) • Fully extended (2 extensions): 215 × 115 cm (up to 10 people) Condition: Good vintage condition. The structure is robust, stable, and the extension mechanism is smooth. Light signs of use and a uniform patina of time, attesting to its authenticity. ● The extension system is made of beech wood (See photos)
