Old Carved Oak Wall Shelf in Neo-Renaissance Style

Period: ca. Mid - late 19th century a charming wall shelf with unusual carvings. The vertical supports have floral designs and the edges of the three shelves have a well-executed egg frieze, giving this piece its renaissance style look. Each shelf has been decorated with a three-dimensional double scroll placed in an inclined position on the exterior sides. Oak wood is very dark but has a lovely warm patina that can only come with age. Condition: very good. No damage. Signs of use consistent with age. Two metal hooks are new. Dimensions: 50 cm high, 50 cm wide, 8.5 cm deep, 2 kg.
