Pair of jugendstil vases in brass

Period: ca. 1890-1910. This pair of double-handled vases are very emblematic of the jugendstil which is characterized by the interaction of geometric and curved lines. The vase bodies are tube-shaped and stand on a circular foot. They have a central geometric design on each side created by the repoussé technique. The vases have no manufacturer marks. Status: no damage. Oxidation marks in places such as spots on the feet and especially around where the handles meet the body (see photos). Dimensions: 22 cm high, 11 cm wide, 9.5 cm foot diameter, 150 & 170 g.
