This superb beer broc is made of glazed earthenware from sarreguemines. Called "flemish pitcher", because it was used to serve beer - it has the model number 17. This large slurry pitcher is adorned with a party scene in the village: the characters dance, drink in front of a small building with a jewish cross. The décor is in bas-relief, enhanced by a beautiful saffron yellow ochre cover. The interior is enamelled blue. The cove is shaped like a tree branch. Dating from the 1900s, it is marked "sarreguemines" and "17 - 227" in creux. This pitcher was created by the factory in 1860 in monochrome stoneware, then taken over in 1900 in slurry of different shades. In good condition, it measures 21 X 24 cm. I report fine cracks in the cover.
