Rustic 1960s wood and burlap hanging lam

Tapered drum-shaped pendant built from a combination of natural, handcrafted materials. Its structure is defined by slender vertical wooden rods arranged evenly around the shade, creating a ribbed, almost architectural rhythm. These rods sit over a burlap inner layer—that acts as a diffuser. When lit, this inner surface produces a warm, filtered glow, with the light subtly broken up by the vertical slats. The top and bottom edges are finished with a thick macramé-style braided trim, which softens the geometry and introduces a tactile, decorative rustic detail. Small protruding ends of the wooden rods extend slightly beyond the lower edge, giving the piece a slightly irregular, handmade character. The overall effect is: Structured but soft. Textural rather than smooth. Warm and atmospheric rather than bright. Measurements: Shade height 24cm. Bottom diameter 27cm. When seen from below it forms a slightly oval shape. It comes equipped with a white cord and a plactic ceiling cup, E27 light bulb socket.
