The empty pocket is in perfect condition no shortages, no cracks, no shards. Free-form, with curved, curved, curved edges folded and rounded, abstract black and yellow décor on a matte white background, it is quite representative of the work of andré baud, ceramicist of the golden age of vallauris, where he settled in 1942. The piece is not marked, which is common for small pieces. André baud trained at the école des beaux-arts in bourges, then at the école des arts-appliqués in paris in the 1920s. This is what he said to talk about his work: "i really like graphic design, there is both the history of origins, space and time, also stellar dimension, in a vision of tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, I also like the correspondence between the mat and the enamels". This delicate ceramic perfectly illustrates what he's saying! It dates back to the 1950s.
