Louis XVI writing table

Louis XVI style writing table. Can also be used as a small desk, console, or chess table. Made of cherry, two ash drawers at the front, dummy drawers at the back for possible use in the middle of a room (minister's desk type). Top with chessboard in American walnut and cherry, square friezing, followed by veining, inlay of fillets. Buffer varnish finish for the top. Shellac for the rest of the furniture. Made by a student cabinetmaker in 2o22. Very neat finish, excellent condition.
