Plia model chair, design by giancarlo piretti in 1968, castelli edition. Caned version in excellent condition for chrome, aluminum and cane. Insulating rubber pads from the ground all present. This chair was a real revolution when it was released, once folded it measures only four centimeters thick, unfolded it is light, elegant and practical! Giancarlo piretti succeeded in demonstrating that it was possible to invent a light, folding, beautiful and practical chair. Chromed steel structure, aluminum ball joints, seat and back in canework, rarer than the numerous versions in molded perplex. This chair will receive the german "gute form" prize in 1973 and has been produced since 1969.
