Trade furniture - administrative counter

Superb piece of industrial furniture (often referred to as a curtain cabinet or office furniture), typical of the first half of the 20th century (1920s to 1950s). The shelves are sliding. The inner drawer locks (key provided). The curtain locks (key provided). The furniture is made of oak. The back of the piece is perfectly dressed and panelled. There are two small metal label holders, indicating that this piece was not necessarily placed against a wall, but could serve as a partition or counter in an office, bank, post office, or workshop, visible to the public or employees on both sides. The piece is generally in good condition but shows some imperfections due to its age. The counter has been stripped and sanded; it is sold raw, ready to receive the finish of your choice.
