Old stoneware liquor bottle, now repurposed as a vase, remarkable for its slender silhouette and the richness of its glazes. Long, slightly flared neck, generous body with sculptural lines. Shiny glaze with a gradient of deep blues, turquoise, and emerald green, animated by brown, violet nuances, and delicate touches of golden ochre. The flamed effects and variations in texture give this piece a unique character. Under the base, the Fournier-Demars stamp – St Amand and the inscription "3/4," presumably an indication of capacity. Founded in 1865, the Fournier-Demars company, established in Saint-Amand-Montrond in Cher, was known for its liqueurs marketed in ceramic containers. Likely from the first half of the 20th century. The original ceramic workshop is not identified. In excellent vintage condition, shiny (see photos). Height 22 cm, diameter at the widest point 13 cm. Today a vase with singular charm, yesterday the result of a meeting between a liquor merchant and the craftsmanship of ceramists.
