Founded in 1957 by chaim schreiber, schreiber furniture is an interesting british success story. The company was one of the biggest names in furniture in the 70s, rivalling g plan, avalon and other famous names. In 1973 they added fitted kitchens to their range, and created 280 schreiber furniture centre shops throughout uk, including a showroom in tottenham court road. This is a very rare schreiber desk with the trademark veneer and distinctive recessed curved handles. The top is mushroom coloured laminate.
