Raoul dussol (11 july 1879 – 7 october 1971) was a french sculptor and statuary. In 1907, founder of the font carade factory in montpellier, he took up the torch of earthenware abandoned at the end of the eighteenth century and brought old-fashioned earthenware up to date. In 1926, the hérault directory notes that he opened an academy of painting, sculpture, decorative arts and free sketching courses at no. 3 quai de sauvages in montpellier. Dussol teaches modeling and sculpture there. In the 1960s, his studio was located at quai laffite in montpellier. He made some rare terracotta busts. This copy, a young child's face of great freshness and a very beautiful workmanship, from the art-deco period, is signed and dated in hollow 1932 at the back (a ginning has partially erased the decimal, which seems to be a 3 - other similar productions are contemporary with this period). Size: Height: 23 cm // width: 21 cm // depth: 12, 5 cm. Weight: 1.2 kg. The color is ochre (the list of the choice of colors proposed on the site does not include this color the closest option was therefore chosen, namely orange) The set is in good condition, free of accident or major lack - note a crack in the material in the center of the left ear and some scattered gears not impacting the aesthetics of the work - beautiful patina of age. Beautiful piece very unusual. Sending perfectly protected, tracked and insured via colissimo or mondial relay (for eligible countries), as desired.
