Large buffet in flame mahogany, William IV / Regency columns.
Grand tripartite buffet in flame mahogany from the William IV / Regency period, likely dated between 1825-1845. The piece consists of three distinct sections: a central body slightly projecting flanked by two recessed side bodies, each resting on a wide moulded plinth base. The façade is rhythmically adorned with four turned columns with sculpted Corinthian capitals framing three doors with flame mahogany panels in a bookmatched design. The upper cornice features a typical British Regency style fluted stepped profile. The interior, lined with burgundy velvet, reveals three drawers and several adjustable shelves. The fittings are period brass. The back, made of untreated raw wood planks, confirms the authenticity of the piece and its original wall-mounted purpose. The solid mahogany top shows scratches and signs of use consistent with its age — natural wear and period patina. Dimensions: H. 95 cm × W. 190 cm × D. 60 cm — Weight: 70 kg.
