Antique Breton dish drainer

Magnificent antique Breton dish drainer, made of solid wood (probably oak or chestnut), dating from the 19th century. This traditional piece of furniture, typical of Brittany, is a fine example of regional folk craftsmanship. Today, it can be decorated and used as a sideboard in a kitchen, a reading corner, a child's bedroom... Two stylized birds and a central floral motif adorn the upper and lower part of the piece of furniture. The shelves have turned bars. 3 shelves are 23X66 cm. The lower one with sliding slats measures 40X64 cm. The space between shelves is 32 cm high, the upper one has a space of 50 cm partly behind the decoration. Solid, stable, healthy wood. Definitely a charming piece of furniture, which offers several decoration possibilities. One of the shop's favorites.
