Set of 5 chairs in blond oak and woven straw (rush) in the style of charles dudouyt. - removable seat. - backrest with geometric decoration. - square base joined by 2 side spacer bars and a central one. - very elaborate base on the front of each chair with 2 rows of crosspieces cut into the wood work carried out in the first half of the 20th century in the 1940s. Charles dudouyt (1885-1946) is a french designer and decorator. He studied at the germain pilon drawing school then worked as a painter, illustrating publications for calmann-levy and l'assiette au beurre. After the first world war, he designed and had furniture, floor lamps and other decorative objects made. He moved to paris in 1933 and founded the gentilhommière which served as both a store and a workshop. Dimensions: width: 46 cm depth: 45cm height 107cm.
