Oil on panel alain beaufreton naked man academic

The signature of this oil on canvas is difficult to decipher. Maybe alain beaufreton, but I could not confirm that. It depicts an academic nude with a man with slightly tilted eyes. The work is of quality well executed. The setting is also from the twentieth century. It is probably an oil on canvas that has been cut and repositioned on a panel. We report friction and small white dots on the oil, gilding wear on the frame. Note what we think is a facial-level restoration on the left and on the right side of the middle down, visible on the 10th and 11th photos. Note small gaps on the frame, traces and marks on the burgundy velvet. The work remains largely presentable, we are picky and evoke the slightest defect. We did a cursory cleaning. Sold unaffected.
