Pichet MBFA Pornic model Ninon – 1960s

MBFA Pornic earthenware jug, model Ninon, 1960s. A particularly original shape, with a rounded body, a long handle, and a wide raised spout. Light grey speckled background with a hand-painted floral decoration in raspberry pink, violet, ochre, and green, highlighted with a few black lines. Stamped MBFA Pornic (Breton Manufacture of Artistic Earthenware), established in Pornic in 1947. Height 23 cm – length from handle to spout 18 cm – diameter at widest point 12 cm. Estimated capacity: approximately 1 L. In good vintage condition, with a few small irregularities in the glaze and decoration related to the manufacturing process (see photos).
