Art Deco Whiskey Tray in Metal and Wood, Belgium 1920s

A striking Belgian Art Deco whiskey tray from the 1920s, combining geometric precision with rich material contrast. The octagonal form features a polished metal frame and sculpted wooden handles, framing a surface of deep, figured wood veneer inlaid with lighter geometric motifs. The interplay of tones; from the warm walnut hues to the pale inlays, creates a refined visual rhythm typical of early modernist design. This piece embodies the sophistication of Belgian Art Deco craftsmanship, where utility meets artistry.
