Two beautiful “cobblestone” candlesticks by monica ritterband 2004 (discontinued around 2010) This set is in smoke colored glass. Monica ritterband designed this candleholder for holmegaard denmark. With the “city light” tealight holders, monica ritterband had created a concept where you could create your own personal light tableau. Namely, a path of light that you could build out of small glass cobblestones. Monica had this to say about the design: “i've always been fascinated by cobblestones - and when I walk in old city centers, I often have my nose turned downwards to read the tooth of time and history in the old bridge coverings. The centuries-old hand-hewn cobblestones are some of the most beautiful, and it has been exciting for me to transform an old, heavy and history-saturated cobblestone into a small cobblestone candleholder of the finest glass, ” says monica ritterband.
