Set of two tripod stools in solid wood whose seat is in the shape of a cut circle. These stools are called cowherd stools because they were used to sit on when milking cows. I don't know if they were used for this but they are clearly homemade, probably for family use. They are quite rustic, the legs are made of turned wood, but in a quick way without dwelling on the details, without sanding for example. They were made for utilitarian use with the wood available at that time, one of the legs seems to have been replaced by a slightly curved branch, a nail solidifies this leg. They can obviously be used as extra seats because they are still very solid, but also as bedside tables, plant holders, end tables, in a minimalist style. They are therefore in good general condition but do not hide their age and signs of use: the varnish is largely faded, a large splinter stood out slightly at the back, I glued it back on and various marks. They measure 31 cm in height, the seat measures 25 cm by 16 cm for one, 24 by 16 for the other, for a thickness of 2.5 cm.
