bronze and brass 2-bulb bouillotte lamp, red desk lamp

Antique gilt metal bouillotte lamp in Empire style, with 2 lights mounted on a central stem. 20th century. An oval base resting on 4 "ball feet" supports the central stem from which 2 light arms in the shape of bird heads extend. This base is slightly warped on one side (see photo). The oval lampshade is made of painted sheet metal in vermilion red; the paint has been restored but retains the marks of previous scratches (see photos). The height of the lampshade is adjustable. Sockets for E14 screw bulbs.
