Sklo Union vase, Rudolfova Hut glassworks, Czechoslovakia 1963

Very nice, heavy pressed glass vase made by the Rudolfova Hut glassworks in 1963. Model 13143/20. Height: 20 cm. Diameter: 10 cm. In very good condition. *** The Rudolfova Hut factory was founded in 1906 by Josef Inwald, who already owned several glassworks. Rudolf Schrotter created several designs, the production of which began in 1914. Other designers who worked for the Rudolfova Hut included Frantisek Vizner, Rudolf Jurnikl, Adolf Matura, Vladislav Urban, and Vaclav Hanus. Rudolfova Hut quickly became the largest producer of pressed glass in Czechoslovakia. In 1965, the Rudolfova Hut company was integrated into the Sklo Union group.
