Pair of armchairs designed by enzo berti and produced by the manufacturer lapalma italy around 1980. Aluminum-style metallized steel structure, very beautiful construction and assembly, very qualitative. Metal blade covered in black “saddle stitch” leather forming seats and backs. Sober, pure and modernist line perfectly representing the italian design of the 1980s. Beautiful state of conservation (the leathers show traces of normal wear due to use and time). Biography: enzo berti was born in 1950, in pianiga, near venice. During his studies at the academy of fine arts in venice and after completing the industrial design course at the department of architecture of the university of venice, he designed and created a large number of art objects which have been exhibited in important international exhibitions. Since the 1980s he has worked full-time in industrial design, collaborating with prestigious furniture brands such as magis, artemide, lago and gervasoni. In the 90s, he assumed the artistic direction of numerous projects, working and collaborating with lapalma, montìna, bross, bauline, he also helped launch new brands, such as verdesign, torremato, kreoo, i-radium, hiko. He has won numerous awards, including, in 2014, the compasso d'oro award for the design of bitta, an outdoor lamp. He still lives and works on the riviera del brenta.
