Art Deco furniture revisited

This pretty art deco piece of furniture dates from the 20s or 30s. We find the characteristic and remarkable elements of this beautiful era: the magnificent pan flute feet, the vertical and horizontal grooves, the stepped cornice, the sculpted brass handles. It has been completely sanded because it was covered with a (too) dark tinted varnish then painted in coffee cream, a bright and warm white of paint resources. Its two upper and lower compartments each contain a shelf of adjustable height. The old wire mesh has been replaced by a raffia weave. Very practical due to its compact size and its storage capacity, this piece of furniture can be a pocket emptier in an entrance hall, an occasional piece of furniture in a corridor, a buffet or jam cupboard or small dresser in a living room, a bathroom cabinet or a delightful storage unit in a bedroom. Both sober and stylish, retro and modern, it will bring its charm and authenticity to your interior.
