Superb black glove box napoleon III in plated ebony from the second half of the nineteenth century. The box is made of a beautiful ebony veneer. The lid is framed by 2 successive contours of brass nets forming a rectangle. The center has a large cartouche (medallion) representing a succession of rosewood, threads of worked and curved brass and mother-of-pearl. Each end is surmounted by a royal crown in mother-of-pearl. The set has mother-of-pearl rosette. The interior has a beautiful rosewood veneer. Brass lock and hinges. Original key. Perfect operation of the lock.
