Sumptuous large planter or champagne bucket/cooler in fine Limoges porcelain, white, blanc de chine style. Vintage 1980s, Charles Fields Manufacture Haviland, reproduction of a cooler in soft St Cloud porcelain from the years 1725-1740, for the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Marked and stamped under the base. Pretty simple shape with round foot, fluted reliefs on the base, the lower part of the body and the upper rim. Decorated with scrolls, floral motifs, plants, ferns, flowers and berries... In relief on the body, adorned with 2 grimacing elf heads acting as handles. Superb details, fine porcelain. 18.8cm high, 17.5cm max interior diameter (top, slightly flared) 24-25cm max width with handle. New exterior condition, a slight deposit of use on the interior bottom, discreet. Approximately 2-2, 500kg.
