First half of the 20th century. Zoomorphic candlestick by the Bambara/Bamana ethnic group from Mali, made of blackened wrought iron, representing an elephant with its trunk raised. A very fine modernist work typical of this ethnic group, renowned for its ironwork. In good condition. There are traces of rust overall and points of oxidation. Dimensions: Height 18.5 cm. Width 6 cm. Length 29 cm. Weight: 621 grams.
