8 flat plates Villeroy & Boch Mettlach 1562 Vieux Strasbourg / Alt Strassburg

Set of 8 flat plates villeroy & boch mettlach, model 1562 "alt strassburg / vieux strasbourg". Stamped (green) "villeroy & boch / mettlach / made in saarland / 1562", and hollow markings. Villeroy & boch re-released this model in the 1980s; these are plates from the original series produced in the 1950s. Floral decoration (pink, tulip, peony) on an ecru background, gently chamfered border, enhanced by a forest green net. The lot consists of 3 "pink" plates, 2 "tulip" plates and 3 "peony" plates. Fine half-porcelain faience. Beautiful quality in a rather exceptional condition (these plates have served little), except for a few age marks: no scratches of use, clean slices. The 3 "pink" plates are in excellent condition. On the plates "tulip" and "peony", some slight spots and a shine at the edge (see the detailed photos: all these defects are presented. Diam. 25.5cm.
