Military cot

Old camp bed, called picot bed in reference to jules picot who in 1877 designed a camp bed consisting of a canvas fixed to two spars each equipped with 3 feet which by spreading give tension to the canvas. This clever bed that allows you to sleep high in order to stay away from humidity and animals will be adopted by the french army throughout the twentieth century (world wars, indochina...) ----- The canvas shows more or less pronounced traces of use, it has however been carefully washed with stain remover soap and pressure washer.
