Philips workshop lamp 50s

Philips desk lamp dating from the 50s. Inspired by charlotte perriand in her way of designing objects that meet the needs of life and are accessible to as many people as possible. This lamp is part of the post-war industrial era with its functional and durable structure but also by its aesthetic and simplistic design using sustainable materials. This lamp is no longer published to this day.  The structure of this lamp is composed of two parts. The cylindrical hemi shade is made of bakelite and comes to accommodate the neon, it is adjustable from front to back to adjust the light intensity. The base is made of lacquered metal and offers the possibility of clipping the lamp on a surface. A push switch is present on the lampshade.  In very good condition, fully overhauled at a professional electrician.
