Tapio wirkkala pendant, 1960s

Pendant lamp from the "k2" series by designer tapio wirkkala (1915-1985) editable by oy idman in the 1960s. Black lacquered metal structure and smoked glass diffuser. Small crack to report on one of the diffusers (visible in the photos). Good overall condition. Tapio wirkkala was a renowned finnish designer, born on june 2, 1915 in hanko, finland, and died on may 19, 1985 in helsinki. He was most known for his work in the field of glass design, ceramics, silverware and furniture.
