Set of 6 wooden straw chairs, French craftsmanship, 1950.

This set of 6 solid wood chairs is a French creation from the mid-20th century. The structure features a dark brown hue with a beautiful patina. It rests on four legs connected by horizontal crossbars, ensuring excellent stability. The front legs are turned and connected by a central turned stretcher, adding a decorative detail characteristic of country furniture. The straight and extended back legs form the support for the backrest. The seat and backrest are upholstered with woven natural fibre rush. The slightly recessed seat offers comfort suitable for daily use. The full backrest in woven rush features a structured diagonal pattern, enhancing strength while providing a graphic visual element. Sturdy and functional, this chair is perfectly suited for a kitchen, dining room, or an interior in country, rustic, or farmhouse style. It can also fit into a vintage decor.
