Set of four Strip dining chairs with dark brown ash armrests by Gijs Bakker for Castelijn

Very rare set of 'Strip' dining chairs with armrests, designed in 1974 by Gijs Bakker for Castelijn in the Netherlands (marked). Only a limited amount of these chairs were made with armrests. This inventive design consists of six curved strips that are connected to each other without any joints. The curved bands together form a dynamic chair design. This set of four chairs is stackable and will be available in dark brown wenge ash color. In very good condition with normal wear and tear due to age and use.
