Gold damask brocade fabric box

Vintage from the 1940s. Rare! Lots of charm for this vintage gold-colored fabric box/case. Old box of chocolates, perfect as a jewelry chest. Made from strong cardboard covered with exterior fabric, traditional decorative brocade fabric with framed medallion damask patterns, embellished with braids. Domed lid. Lined inside with white and gold patterned paper. Beautiful vintage state of conservation given its age. No major damage. Tiny traces of wear: some minimal deformation of the cardboard, slightly grated in places and paper stitched at the hinge. Presence of threads and small frays of no consequence. Felt torn underneath.
