For the history, the beni m’rirt are made in the region of Beni Mellal - Khénifra in the Middle Atlas, in central Morocco. They are the most prestigious and high-end of Moroccan Berber rugs. The weaving is particularly tight, resulting in a denser and heavier rug. Consequently, a larger quantity of wool is required to weave this rug. In very good condition.
