19th-century portrait

Portrait of a bourgeois man in a 19th-century suit. Oil on canvas from 1886, signed by the French painter Emile-Louis Foubert (1848 - 1911). The painting is framed in a superb gilded wooden and stucco frame. The work is in good condition with some slight paint losses on the canvas and a few missing pieces on the frame. Dimensions with frame: 87 cm X 76 cm. Dimensions of the painting: 56 cm X 46 cm. Inscriptions on the back: A. Bargue Fils 36 rue Bonapart Paris.
