Resin paperweight with inclusion of an hourglass. - 60s/70s by pierre giraudon (no signature) - black resin base and transparent above: the transparent resin has yellowed a little over time but this does not detract from the originality and interest of the 'object. - dimensions l11.3 X d5.3 X h5.3cm - good general condition, 2 slightly damaged but minor corners (see detailed photos). - pierre giraudon (1923-2012), biologist, is one of the first to have created naturalistic resin castings: initially for scientific purposes, he then applied the technique to decorative objects in the 60s to 80s.
