Wooden cradle

Wooden cradle originating from saintonge, dating from the late eighteenth century or early nineteenth century. Its height put the newborn at the level of the parents' bed and out of reach of the pets often present in the only living room. The holes on the sides were used to pass ribbons so that the child did not fall (he was swaddled in a diaper...). Curved wooden skates made it possible to rock it. Length 111cm. Width 52.5cm. Total height 101, bottom height 64 cm, height of the sides 84 cm.
