Oil painting signed "Laurent", dated 1957 – Bouquet of dahlias

Beautiful still life in oil depicting a generous bouquet of dahlias (orange, burgundy red, pink, and white) in a dark glass vase placed on a parquet floor, set in a chiaroscuro interior. Signed "Laurent" and dated "57" in the bottom right corner. Presented in its original gilded frame with a white fillet, in a sober style characteristic of the mid-20th century. The painting bears old chalk inscriptions on the back (inventory numbers) and a handwritten pencil note on the stretcher, indicating its passage through a previous collection or sale. Condition: Light age-related cracks, some chips in the gilding on the corners of the frame, original stretcher with signs of use (small holes, old nails). Canvas in generally good condition for its age. No recent restoration. Sold as is — see photos. Dimensions: • Canvas only: 48 X 62 cm. • With frame: 60 X 75 cm. Support: Oil on canvas. Signature: "Laurent", dated 1957, not formally identified in the consulted directories (a very common surname, without a confirmed distinctive initial). Work sold as is, without an expertise certificate. Ideal for: classic or retro interior decoration, enthusiasts of French painting from the mid-20th century. No shipping, hand delivery only.
