Pair of stools by Christian Durupt, Meribel 1960

Christian Durupt was a French cabinetmaker who worked in the 1960s and was known for his creations in solid wood. He notably collaborated with Charlotte Perriand on the design of ski resorts in Savoie. Charged with history, this rare set of stools comes from the ski resort of Méribel in France. The stool features a thick square seat resting on a slightly tapered four-legged base, all made of solid pine. Provenance: Méribel, France, circa 1960. Condition: used.
