Japanese bed, a very high-end model. Japonism, france, late 19th century, circa 1880/1890. Beech or maple bed, carved "false-bamboos". Panels marked and lacquered, depicting scenes of japanese lives (children playing, peasants, birds, etc.). Panels imported from japan, superb quality, signed with the acronym / logo / kanji of the japanese artist, mounted in france on the frame of the bed by a french cabinet making workshop. Unsigned "european" part, most certainly the perret - vibert / maison de bambous workshops. Gabriel viardot's workshops and cyrille ruffier des aimes' workshops also had similar productions. Good general condition, some misses, see photos. Size: H 154 cm X l 167 cm X p 206 cm. Sleeping: 190 cm X 136 cm.
