This glazed ceramic set perfectly mimics the grainy texture and bright yellow colour of lemons. The service is distinguished by remarkable and very colourful relief sculpting: A teapot (or coffee pot) shaped like a large lemon, topped with a green leaf lid and flanked by a handle and a spout resembling a flowering lemon branch. 6 matching cups featuring the same fruit motif, glazed foliage, and small springtime violet and pink flowers. 6 original saucers sculpted in the shape of tender green lemon leaves, with visible relief veins. 1 original chrome metal display stand, ultra practical for storing and proudly showcasing the entire set compactly on a worktop or shelf. The underside of the pieces is white and smooth, typical of artisanal productions or small Italian and Portuguese workshops that were very prolific on this theme in the 1970s and 1980s. Overall in good condition. The glaze remains very shiny and the colours beautifully fresh. Note a tiny natural crazing of the glaze in places (a testament to its authenticity) and very small discreet chips on the tips of a few leaves or edges, which is almost inevitable on relief majolica from this era and does not detract from the sturdiness or charm of the set.
