Mid Century armchair pair 1950

Pair of modernist armchairs from the 1950s with a sculptural design attributed to or produced by the Société d'Ameublement Moderne (S.A.M). What makes them unique? An organic compass base made of sculpted solid oak, with lines reminiscent of a plant structure or tapered branches. This inverted compass structure, extended by aerodynamic profiled armrests, creates a unique suspended effect. A true Mid-Century signature to add character to your interior. Original textured fabric in red with black thread in good condition, only one corner of an armchair has some missing parts and its armrest has some varnish loss (superficial wear).
