small chestnut armchair

Coming from the crafts of Limousin and Périgord, furniture woven from chestnut splints crosses the ages without blinking an eye. Here is an example with an adorable miniature version of the so-called “Corbusier” armchair: we never tire of its timeless raw lines. Lightweight, this little armchair can be used in all rooms of the house, and even outside to enjoy the sun. It is remarkably preserved and can still live a long life. Nb: this item is an old item sold second-hand and restored by hand. It therefore naturally presents traces of time and its experience. This is precisely what makes it charming and gives it a unique character. In particular on this armchair: A small partial break on two sides of the backrest, barely visible (see photographs) Irregularities in the original varnish linked to the artisanal manufacturing of the product (see photographs) Traces of woodworm on the base.
