Ancient berber carpet 190x210cm

This very old carpet is a tent mat. Handmade, camel wool. Tent mats are made in strips of about 90 cm, strips that are sewn together. They are used to make and set up the tents of the nomads. This one is a little stained in places by the rain, but it still retains a real charm. The colours are exceptional. It's a rare and unique piece you won't find anywhere else. Its sobriety fits perfectly into a contemporary interior. I myself hunt these carpets in remote areas, on the edge of the desert.
