Photography dancer enhanced with gold India 1930s

Photograph of an Indian dancer in the 1920s/1030s. The photograph is fully painted and above all, the details (the dancer's jewelry, her clothing, the decoration of the furniture, the rope that holds the curtain) are enhanced with gold according to a technique typical of the city of bikaner, in the north of Rajasthan. The work was very deteriorated originally, it was restored discreetly to preserve the ineffable charm of a relic. Old gilded leaf frame. Leaf size: 18x24 cm of frame: 39x44 cm.
