Diapason lamp of the Arlus house circa 1960. Remarkable state, original lampshades bearing some traces of their experiences. Arlus is an active french lighting company in the early 1950s. Associated with the modern movement with its creations similar to those of the first french designers, arlus popularized the use of tubular metal and brass in the creation of light fixtures. Suspensions, lamps, appliques or lampposts, many of the pieces published by arlus use the same formal vocabulary, sober and uncluttered, making it a publisher sought after by collectors. The headquarters of the arlus house was in paris, rue saint maur and place voltaire in the 11th arrondissement.
